Pretty Friday- Pretty Cold!

>This week’s Pretty Friday is dealing with snow, ski bunnies, looking shexy on the shlopes and general outfit inspiration for colder days.
As all of you who are following me on Twitter already know- Synthetic Elegance will be going on a short hiatus for a week of freezing its shiny metal ass on the ski slopes of Austria.
This will be my first time skiing since the age of 4, and having a ski instructor for a boyfriend is making me a bit more nervous than I should be. All in all- I think it will be great fun. I am especially looking forward to the apres ski,  soaking my sore limbs in a hot-tub and boozing the night away to the sound of awful Europop.
I will be back before you know it with plenty more things to post about, so wish me luck and send some warmth my way. I mean it, it’s going to be -15 degrees, I need all the warmth I can get!
Meanwhile, take a look at this ski bunny inspired photoshoot from Vogue Paris, 2006 featuring model Iselin Steiro.

>Pretty Friday- Pretty Simple- Some photography to kick start your weekend

>

Henri Cartier-Bresson (1908-2004), Boulevard Diderot, Paris 1969.

I first came by this photograph through my friend. We were walking through Museum Ludwig in Cologne, when we came across a photography exhibition and he said he knew he could find his favorite photo there. This was the photo.
Researching Cartier- Bresson’s work, you could see that each one of his photos captures a story, in the most simple and honest way.
The story behind this one sounds like a perfect one to me: love, youth, Paris, a puppy and a striped shirt.
Have a great weekend!
